Simple ~ Farmington NM Newborn Photography

I love shots of newborns done on a solid black drop -- it's just pure baby. I wish they were as simple to do as they look. There is a definite art to shooting a baby on black and I am still practicing! Getting the right balance of shadow and light and the processing in photoshop is pretty crucial.

My little Holt is 8 & 9 days in these and daddy was the prop!

I remember taking this photo -- I tried and tried to get him to relax his face. I tickled his lips and under his chin, but he wouldn't budge. I just love the way he is holding dad's thumb though.

Sweetest Thing ~ Waterflow, NM Photographer

This little sweetie turned one way back in November, but I figure, it's better to post these late than never!

Now, who is one of the cutest little girls you've ever seen?

From Fall ~ Farmington NM Family Photographer

Here are the family photos I did for my friend Jessica ( www.randomphotographyandgraphicdesign.com ) this last fall. It is always so nerve-wrecking to shoot for another photographer. Her family is just gorgeous! She took some photos of me and Holt together and a few newborn shots of him. Hopefully I will post some of them on the blog soon.

At 7 Days New ~ Farmington, NM Newborn Photographer

I realize that these were taken over 9 weeks ago. He has changed so much since then, but I'm his momma -- I'm a little partial -- and I'm way behind -- so I'm going to keep on sharing his newborn photos as I go through them :)

And one just to prove that we do have clothes for the poor child! I like that you can see the red in his newborn hair in this one.
