A New Look

Oh how I hate HTML code! I haven't a clue what I am looking at when I try to make changes to my blog. This is one of the reasons I am scared to even think about a website! Anyways . . . I am excited to have a new logo. It is a little more stylish I think! And I somehow managed to get a rotating blog header.

I have to add a few more photos of the kids I am getting caught up on. I took Carsyn out in the field to practice some backlighting. Yeah, I still need some more practice there. The sun was pretty bright giving me lots of haze (I actually love the hazy look), but would still like to try some different lighting angles. Guess I will be waiting for it to warm up some though. For Gatlin's pictures, he was suckered in to letting me try out a new lens, an 85mm 1.4. Love it by the way!

More of Mine! ~ Farmington NM Photographer

Here are a few of my little munchkins that I have just recently gotten to. These pictures were to mark Gatlin at 4.5 and Carsyn at 2.5. Yes, Carsyn has A LOT more pictures than Gatlin. He has learned to opt out of his Momma's little photo sessions. I told him that he IS getting 5 year pictures here soon, so he is just going to deal with it! LOL

Why do I take so many pictures of my kids? Well, first off, I love it. I also use them to try out new lighting techniques, ideas, or equipment and just for practice in general. I have to admit that it is just a bit of an addiction for me too (but hey, there are many worse things to be addicted to!).

Carsyn's Christmas Pics

Just now getting around to posting these. Sorry for those of you who have seen a few of them on facebook. She said she wanted to have her picture taken, but she lied. She made me work for these -- lots of singing, silly faces, funny noises, begging, pleading . . . etc. There were lots of "out-takes," but sometimes those end up being my favorites.
