Before this year is officially over, I need to post some pics of my little man! At this busy time of year, I haven't gotten to many of his photos yet, but I wanted to share a few. In all of these, he was a mere 4 days old -- I miss it already.

Gosh, is this kid cute! I'm quite proud to say we are related -- he is my cousin's little boy. We took these back in October to mark his 3rd birthday.

Life has taken over . . . officially! I have been busy getting some snuggles from my new little man. I can't believe he is already 3 weeks old today. Oh, how I wish I could slow time down. I promise I have been taking lots of pictures. Now getting the chance to get through them is another thing. In the midst of all these pictures, my hard drive decided to crash. Luckily, the info I lost is very minimal (thank goodness for my external hard drives), but it sure isn't very convenient. I now own another computer, and Dell was out to replace my laptop hard drive today. Nothing like starting from scratch with two computers! I am very thankful it waited until I got through all of my sessions this year to look on the bright side.

In an effort to try to start catching up -- here are some shots from a terrific family I got to work with this fall. Their little guy is so expressive -- lots of variety in his facial expressions which makes it so fun. Thank you all so much! I appreciate it (and sorry it took me FOREVER to get these blogged).

He's Here!!!!

Holt Weston James joined our family on November 24 at 5:22 a.m. He was 7lbs. 15 ozs. and 21 1/4 inches. We are all very much in love and enjoying every minute with this little man.

As for the blog, I am very behind. I have several sessions still to post, so if you are waiting . . . I'm sorry. I will do my best to get caught up over the next month or two and share those sessions along with some photos of Holt.

My Belly Pics

I am going to do something I'm not terribly comfortable with and that's put some pictures out there of me (with this basketball I'm growing). I haven't ever really done maternity photos, except for a few of my sister-in-law, so I wasn't planning on taking too many of me. I did want a few since I figured this will likely be our last bambino, but just like most of my photo sessions, a few turned into many.

The studio shots were done by me, Carsyn, and the camera timer. Ronnie got roped into being the button pusher for the outdoor shots, and my photog friend Jessica ( http://www.randomphotographyandgraphicdesign.com/ ) came down to try out an idea, so the last three photos were taken by her (although they just have my mark).

This first composite was my pregnancy project. I took a photo every month to show my growing belly. We got a kick out of watching how much the belly changed some months. As you can see, the belly got big around 6-7 months and stayed that way. Guess that's why I feel like I have been pregnant FOREVER! Also, with this one, I started showing right away, so I wish I would have started this a couple weeks earlier (like the day I saw two lines on the stick). The idea is hardly original -- I have seen it done before on some photography forums.

I think doing some maternity shoots for others would be fun. It is nice to have some photos to capture this time. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of this little guy, and if you think this is a lot of pictures (ha ha!) just wait!!!!

Fall Family ~ Farmington NM Photographer

The fall colors kind of came in late this year -- finally started getting some subtle color in October. Had a great time photographing and catching-up with this family. Their little girl is so expressive -- it always makes for great photos. She has THE most amazing eyes too -- I just love them!!!!!! I have to remind myself to back up and not just shoot close-ups of her.

Introducing My Beautiful Niece ~ Farmington NM Newborn Photography

It is about time my new niece makes her debut on my blog. She is such a good little baby (at least every time I have been around her), and beautiful as well! We made the trek down to Las Cruces to meet her a week after she was born so we had to take a couple photos too. We are all looking forward to seeing her (and the rest of the bunch) again soon.
